With the aim of providing employment to people in rural areas, the Central Government has started the Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Industry Upgradation Scheme. Under this scheme, the Central Government is giving a rebate of Rs 10 lakh for setting up micro food processing units. Under this scheme, Rajasthan government is organizing a camp in agricultural market Jalore. In which the application forms of those setting up food units will be filled. These farmers will also be given information about the scheme.
Mr. Kalyansingh Bhati, Secretary of Shri Kanhaddev Songara Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Jalore, said that the villagers will be given detailed information about the Prime Minister’s Micro Food Enterprise Upgradation Scheme in the camp. Online applications of people setting up food units will also be filled here. Secretary Kalyan Singh Bhati, PFFME Scheme-SPMU team member Sandeep Saini, General Manager of District Industry and Commerce Center Sangramram Dewasi, Rajivika officials and concerned officers will be present in the camp to provide technical and financial assistance under the scheme.
The main objective of the Prime Minister Micro Food Enterprises Upgradation Scheme is to promote small food related units. Under this, grants will be given under the scheme for units related to flour mill, pulse mill, processing unit, milk and food products. Through which villagers will be able to establish their own businesses and establish their own employment.
Subsidy of Rs 10 lakh will be available on one unit
Under this scheme, the Central and State Government will provide a grant of 35% or up to Rs 10 lakh for setting up new and old units. Loan assistance is also provided by different banks under the scheme. Information related to machinery will also be given to the concerned. Under the PMFME scheme, technical assistance for application and training will be provided with the help of the District Resource Person. Farmers, businessmen and people of industrial organizations will be able to come to this camp and take advantage of the scheme.
